Good information from the American Hospital Association

This article, “The 2007 State of America’s Hospitals: Taking the Pulse, Findings from the 2007 AHA Survey of Hospital Leaders, highlights the nursing and health care provider shortage. This is an excellent presentation and is listed under Featured Report.

Thanks for bringing these facts and figures to the forefront.Yes, there is a nursing shortage, and it will get worse. You make a good point; there are many shortages in other health care workers/professions who are equally vital to maintaining a strong Healthcare system.

The word is out! Now it's time for improvements in recruitment and retention strategies to be accepted and enforced. the public is still in the dark as to the medical emergency of insufficient health care workers. Sound the alarm via the media for public response.
